The Bank of New Zealand Save the Kiwi Trust welcomes funding applications from kiwi conservation organisations whose projects align with the Trust’s overall funding purpose and priorities. Organisations will also need to meet the Trust’s eligibility criteria and, should their funding application be successful, agree in writing to all terms and conditions.

The Trust's funds are allocated through a yearly funding cycle, on a contestable basis. Funding applications for the Trust's 2009/10 funding year (1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010) will open on 16 March 2009 and will close on 24 April 2009. Further details will be posted early 2008. All funding applications must be made on the official Bank of New Zealand Save the Kiwi Trust funding application form.
The Kiwi Recovery Group, a working group of kiwi experts around the country, will review all the funding applications within the context of the Kiwi Recovery Plan and its recommendations will be taken into account by the Trust.
