Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Cameron Clyne’s career spans 18 years in the Financial Services industry. In March 2007 he was appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of New Zealand.
In his new role, Cameron will lead Bank of New Zealand’s Executive Committee and have overall responsibility for the management of Bank of New Zealand, its strategic positioning and performance in relation to meeting the needs of 6,000 staff, one million customers, shareholders and the wider community.
Cameron joins Bank of New Zealand following two years as Executive General Manager, Group Development with National Australia Bank Group. Reporting to the CEO, and a member of the Group Executive Committee, Cameron’s responsibilities included identifying business development and strategic opportunities, working across the wider National Australia Group on areas of collaboration and best practice, and leading the transformation of the Group’s major projects.
In addition to his strategy responsibilities Cameron was also responsible for economics, corporate affairs, government relations, communications and the Office of the CEO.
Prior to joining the National, Cameron was Managing Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Financial Services Consulting practice across Asia-Pacific. He has also worked in their Financial Services practices in New York.
Cameron joined the Board of Trustees as Chairman in 2007.
