Introduction to Kiwi Forever
This resource aims to build understanding of the significance of the kiwi and its importance to us as a people by providing a framework to help teachers plan activities and lessons based around New Zealand's national bird. It is the result of more than 12 months of research, writing and reviews and has been heralded as a template for how education resources should be created.
Teachers: Sign your class up for a virtual kiwi field trip to watch a kiwi chick hatch and grow in captivity, and then be released back into the wild. From 4-7th November 2008, LEARNZ will follow the progress of an Operation Nest Egg egg. Sign up at www.learnz.org.nz.
